Plan Your Visit

Thinking about visiting?

We hope you do! Here’s some basic info you might find useful. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Where are you located?

Morrow Bible Church is at 423 County Road 204, Centerburg, OH 43011. We are about two miles southwest of Sparta and Highland Schools.

Where can I park?

We have a parking lot next to the church with plenty of spaces. Enter through the glass doors of the main foyer. If it’s raining, there’s a drive-thru canopy on the back side of the main foyer where you can drop people off before parking.

What time should I arrive?

You should try to arrive a few minutes early to have time for fellowship and to get to know others.

Where do I go when I come in?

When you enter, you’ll find coat racks and restrooms in the main foyer. Head upstairs to the sanctuary. Pick up a bulletin as you go in and find an open pew to sit wherever you like.

What should I wear?

Many people do choose to dress a bit nicer for worship services, but there is no dress code. The key is that you’re with us, participating in worship.

What denomination are you?

We are an independent Bible church, focusing on teaching the Bible and living by its principles. We are self-governing, and our members maintain and direct the church.

Who is the pastor?

Our pastor is Rev. Stephen Howard. He started as our assistant pastor in 2011 and has been our pastor since 2015. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, where he met his wife Jenny. They are raising their four daughters together.

How long are your services?

Our services typically last about an hour to an hour and a half.

What can I expect in your services?

Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere with traditional hymns, prayer, scripture reading, and a sermon. There’s also an opportunity for testimony during our Sunday evening service at 6:30 p.m.

How does the offering work?

There is an offering box inside the main entrance to the sanctuary where you may offer tithes and offerings to God. The treasurer and other men of the church handle the money, and a financial statement is available on the church bulletin board each month to show how it was spent. The elders also review the church finances.

What Bible translations do you use?

We use the King James Version for public settings to ensure unity in memorization, reading, and preaching. While not “King James only,” we appreciate its reliability and acceptance. We value good modern translations for today’s Christians.

Is the building handicap accessible?

Yes, our building is fully handicap accessible. We have an elevator that provides wheelchair access to all levels, and the main restrooms off the foyer are also handicap accessible.

Are there listening devices available for those with hearing difficulties?

Absolutely! We offer Telex SoundMate personal listening devices to help reduce background noise and improve sound quality.

Are children welcome during services?

Yes, children are always welcome and encouraged to sit with their families. Mothers with babies and toddlers can join the 2s & 3s Sunday School class at 9:30 a.m. The nursery is staffed during the Sunday morning service at 10:45 a.m. For other services, the nursery in the foyer is open for parents to care for their own small children as needed.

Are there small group meetings or Bible studies I can join?

Our Sunday School provides time for sharing and discussion in small groups for kids and adults. Our ladies also meet regularly for fellowship and ministry. Our services can be like small groups at times since we are a smaller church, making it easy to know others and be recognized.

Can I talk to someone if I have more questions or need prayer?

Yes, you can contact the pastor if you have more questions or need prayer.

How can I let you know I’m coming?

We’d love to know you’re coming! Please call us at (740) 625-5542 or email us at office@morrowbiblechurch.org.
